SOCIALISM? One dictionary definition of Socialism states: "Socialism is an “economic and political philosophy encompassing diverse economic and social systems characterized by social ownership of the means of production, as opposed to private ownership. It describes the economic, political, and social theories and movements associated with the implementation of such systems”. Let’s break it down. “Social ownership as opposed to Private ownership” must mean one of two things: either “Social” means that every worker in a production has ownership of that production, (so “Private” here would mean in the hands of one or a few) or "Social" means Government owned and controlled.
